Cheesecake Autoflower is a feminized hybrid autoflower with skunk, cheese and citrus taste notes, from a cross of a Kush and Cherry Pie. Its THC is listed at 23% and its CBD at 2%, guide figures rather than a test of these seeds. It flowers on its own without a change in light hours, with a listed indoor flowering time of 8 to 10 weeks, and the plants stay at around 60 to 90 cm (2 to 3 ft).

History & lineage

Cheesecake Autoflower is listed as Kush × Cherry Pie, with ruderalis, the wild cannabis that flowers by age rather than day length, giving it its autoflowering habit. Which Kush went into it isn’t named. Cherry Pie, the other parent, is a cross of Granddaddy Purple and a Durban, and it has a Cup record of its own: a Cherry Pie entered by The Clinic placed 3rd for Medical Sativa at the 2014 High Times US Cannabis Cup in Denver.

The Cheesecake name is shared by unrelated strains, so don’t mix them up. Leafly’s Cheesecake is Mad Scientist Genetics’ indica, a cross of Confidential Cheese and F2 Girl Scout Candy, and some seed companies sell a CheeseCake Auto made from Wedding Cake Auto and Cheese. Neither is this seed, so their reviews and figures aren’t used here.

Aroma & flavour

The listed taste notes are skunk, cheese and citrus. Leafly has no flavour reports for this autoflower, and its Cheesecake page covers a different strain. For Cherry Pie, one of its two parents, Leafly users most often report sweet, berry and earthy flavours. Our guide to cannabis terpenes explains how a strain’s terpenes shape its smell.

Effects, as users report them

Most reportedRelaxed · Happy · Euphoric · Uplifted · Creative
Downsides reportedDry mouth · Dry eyes · Dizzy · Paranoid · Anxious

Leafly has no user reports for this autoflower, so these are Leafly users’ reports for Cherry Pie, one of its two parents, most common first; the Kush parent isn’t named, so its effects can’t be added, and a cross won’t always feel like either parent. Dry mouth and dry eyes are the downsides Cherry Pie users mention most, and smaller numbers report dizziness, paranoia or anxiety. THC is listed at 23%, and effects vary with the person and the dose, so if you are new to cannabis, start with a small amount.

Growing Cheesecake Autoflower

As an autoflower, Cheesecake needs no change in light hours to start flowering, so one schedule can carry it from seed to harvest; many growers give autos 18 to 20 hours of light, and our autoflower light schedule guide compares the options. Its listed indoor flowering time is 8 to 10 weeks. Plants vary, so judge when to harvest by the trichomes rather than the calendar.

Plants are listed at 60–90 cm (about 2–3 ft); our autoflower height guide covers planning headroom. Expect up to about 400 g/m² (about 1.3 oz/ft²) indoors and up to around 200 g (about 7.1 oz) per plant outdoors. Autos have little time to recover from heavy cuts, so train gently and early with low-stress training if at all. Good airflow and steady humidity matter in late flower.

Is Cheesecake Autoflower right for you?

A good fit if
  • you want an autoflower with skunk, cheese and citrus taste notes
  • you are short on headroom — plants are listed at around 60–90 cm (2–3 ft)
  • you would rather keep one light schedule from seed to harvest
Maybe not if
  • you are after Mad Scientist Genetics’ Cheesecake or a Wedding Cake × Cheese auto — this is a different cross
  • you are new to cannabis and want something mild — THC is listed at about 23%
  • you want the biggest harvests per plant — a photoperiod may suit you better; see autoflower vs feminized seeds

Questions buyers ask

What are Cheesecake Autoflower’s genetics?

It is listed as a cross of a Kush and Cherry Pie, made autoflowering with ruderalis. The Kush isn’t named; Cherry Pie is a cross of Granddaddy Purple and a Durban.

Is this the same as Leafly’s Cheesecake?

No. Leafly’s Cheesecake is Mad Scientist Genetics’ indica, a cross of Confidential Cheese and F2 Girl Scout Candy. This autoflower is a Kush × Cherry Pie cross, and some seed companies’ CheeseCake Auto (Wedding Cake Auto × Cheese) is different again.

How long does Cheesecake Autoflower take?

Its listed indoor flowering time is 8 to 10 weeks. It flowers on its own without a change in light hours; judge the finish by the trichomes rather than the calendar.

Are Cheesecake Autoflower seeds feminized?

Yes. Every autoflower we carry is feminized, so these seeds are bred to grow female plants, the ones that make buds. Our germination guide covers sprouting them.

Dessert Buds with a Punch

30 June 2025

Cheesecake Auto was straight-up delicious—grew fast, stayed low, and fattened up with some crazy frosty nugs. The smell in late flower was unreal… like creamy vanilla cake with a hint of funk. I cracked a jar open and instantly got hungry. The high is sneaky—it starts out smooth and mellow, then drops like a warm brick on your body. Definitely a dessert strain: best enjoyed after dinner, in sweatpants, with zero plans. 10/10 couch snack approved.

Pass the Cheese Please

30 June 2025

Cheesecake Auto? Man… pass the cheese and don’t expect it back. This little plant grew quick and compact, but stacked on some serious flavor—sweet, creamy, and just enough skunky funk to let you know it means business. Smells like dessert, hits like a sleepy freight train. I sparked a bowl thinking I’d clean my kitchen… ended up sitting on the floor eating crackers and staring at my dog for 30 minutes. Heavy body high, chill mental vibes, and honestly some of the tastiest flower I’ve grown from an auto. Highly recommend for nighttime snacks and forgetting why you walked into the room.
