Half of this plant’s family tree is a documented mutation anyone can look up. The other half is a locked door. That is not a marketing angle — it is the honest situation, and it is a large part of what makes this cross worth growing.

Genetics & Lineage

The open half is Freakshow. It brings the trait everything else is built around: the deeply serrated, fern-like leaf mutation isolated by the breeder Shapeshifter and distributed through Humboldt Seed Company. It is a genuine genetic quirk, not damage or deficiency, and it behaves like a recessive — hiding for a generation, then reappearing. That is what makes Freakshow notoriously hard to stabilise, and why Freaky Queen Feminized Seeds took four generations rather than one.

The closed half is the mother, The Queen, an S1 line from Copycat Genetix. Her parents are not public and are not going to be. Copycat hunted her, reversed her in house and selfed the keeper pheno to make the S1, and their position on where she came from is a flat refusal: no information on the lineage will be released. Nobody outside their operation knows what is behind her.

So we will not pretend to. There is no strain database entry we can point you at, no breeder page to check, and we are not going to fill the gap with a guess dressed up as a fact. What we can tell you is what she actually does, because that part is observable: indica-dominant structure, resin production that borders on absurd, and a fuel-and-funk terpene base. All three came through the cross intact.

Selection through F4 has settled Freaky Queen Feminized Seeds at roughly 40% indica to 60% sativa — the indica-leaning mother pulling against a Freakshow that is close to 90% sativa, with Mac choosing the middle. These are feminized photoperiod seeds, so every plant should flower female under a normal 12/12 flip.

Appearance

Leaf shape is the first thing anyone notices about Freaky Queen Feminized Seeds. Most plants throw the narrow, saw-toothed Freakshow foliage — fine leaflets running off each vein, closer to a fern than to cannabis — while others put out ordinary broad fans, and plenty carry both on the same plant. Petioles run deep magenta, and late in flower the sugar leaves take on plum and bronze tones.

Flowers form tapered, spear-shaped colas that stack up the main stem rather than balling out, with cream pistils ageing to amber and light foxtailing at the tips. Trichome coverage is the strong suit of Freaky Queen Feminized Seeds: the frost runs well out onto the fan leaves, not just the calyxes. That is the mother showing herself — whatever she is, she is frosty, and it carried.

Aroma & Flavour

The line has not been through a formal terpene assessment, but Mac has been through the jars, and his notes sit right on top of what the parents carry. The mother’s published profile is vanilla bean, musk, earth and funk over a fuel base, and that is most of what is in the jar: sweet vanilla, a deep earthy body, and gas running underneath the whole thing.

The citrus comes from the other side. Freakshow carries a grapefruit-and-tropical brightness, and in Freaky Queen Feminized Seeds it lands as citrus peel across the top of the mother’s heavier notes rather than replacing them.

In practice Freaky Queen Feminized Seeds read as citrus peel and sweet vanilla up front, earthy on the exhale, fuel underneath — a sweet-and-funky profile rather than a sharp or perfumed one.

Effects

The buzz is strong and firmly head-first — a fast, heady, cerebral hit rather than a sink-into-the-couch weight, which tracks with the sativa lean Freakshow brings and with Mac having selected for it through four generations.

Judging by the trichome load and the way it smokes, Mac places Freaky Queen Feminized Seeds in the 25 to 27 percent THC range with very little CBD. That is a breeder’s read off his own rooms, not a certificate of analysis, and we have labelled it that way rather than dressing it up.

You will find far bigger numbers published for the mother’s line elsewhere — well north of 40 percent. Different sellers quote different figures for the same seeds, none of them arrive with a lab report, and we do not believe a cannabis flower has ever tested there. So those numbers are not on this page, and we have not used them to prop up Mac’s estimate either. His read stands on its own, and 25 to 27 percent is plenty.

Because of the potency, this is not the strain to hand a first-time smoker.

Growing Information

Expect variation between plants — that is the honest headline. The Freakshow phenotype comes through strongly in a portion of any pack, so some plants look like ferns and others like ordinary cannabis, and they will not all finish identically. The mutant-leaf plants carry less leaf surface than a standard fan, so they take light well and rarely need heavy defoliation. Plan for a real stretch after the flip — the mother’s line is documented at roughly double its height in flower — so set your net or top early and keep airflow up around the stacked colas. Freaky Queen Feminized Seeds flower in nine to ten weeks from the flip, roughly 63 to 70 days. Mac reports 450 to 600 g/m² indoors and 500 to 800 g per plant outdoors — the outdoor figure off plants he took outside at F2 and F3 rather than off the F4 itself, so it is a grounded expectation rather than a weight measured on these exact seeds.

Watch the trichomes rather than the calendar for the final week or two, because the fern-leaf plants and the broad-leaf plants in the same tent do not always arrive together.
