Freaky Queen Feminized Seeds

Freaky Queen is a sativa-dominant feminized hybrid, 40% indica and 60% sativa, that crosses The Queen, an S1 line from Copycat Genetix, with Freakshow, the fern-leaf strain. It is an original Lighthouse Genetics cross by Macs_Budz, selected over generations and stabilized before release, and these seeds are F4. It makes a lot of trichomes, those who have smoked it describe a strong, heady buzz, and Mac puts its THC at roughly 25 to 27%. It is a moderate grow that flowers in about 9 to 10 weeks.

History & lineage

Freaky Queen is Mac’s cross of The Queen with Freakshow, carried through to the fourth generation. The Queen is an original from Copycat Genetix, and its breeder’s page says no information will be released about its lineage. Copycat says it hunted the plant, reversed it in house and bred it to itself to make S1 seeds of the keeper, and describes vanilla bean, musky, earthy and funk terpenes over OG fuel and gas, with 49 to 56 days of flowering.

Freakshow was first bred by the California breeder Shapeshifter, from a female Pineapple Express and a male Holy Chiquita, and released by Humboldt Seed Company in 2019. It is about 90% sativa and known for deeply serrated, fern-like leaves. Shapeshifter describes the fourth generation as true-breeding for that leaf shape, and says he is outcrossing it to learn how the trait passes on. In Freaky Queen, a Freakshow-leaning plant can dominate, so leaf shape varies from plant to plant.

Aroma & flavour

Mac’s notes on Freaky Queen are citrus peel, sweet vanilla, an earthy side and fuel. Most of that traces to the parents. Copycat lists vanilla bean, musky, earthy and funk for The Queen, with OG fuel and gas, while Shapeshifter describes lime-and-pine Freakshow phenotypes and gives its terpenes as mainly limonene and pinene, though he adds that this varies. Effects, as users report them

Those who have smoked Freaky Queen describe a strong, heady buzz. Leafly has no page for Freaky Queen or for The Queen, so the boxes show the reports of the small number of Leafly users who have reviewed Freakshow, one of its two parents, most common first; take them as a rough picture, since a cross won’t always feel like either parent. Growing Freaky Queen

Freaky Queen is a feminized photoperiod plant: it keeps growing leaves until the light drops to 12 hours a day indoors, or until the days shorten outdoors. Mac gives 9 to 10 weeks of flowering, about 63 to 70 days from the flip. Mac has grown it indoors, and outdoors at F2 and F3.

It is a moderate grow. Mac reports about 450–600 g/m² (1.5–2.0 oz/ft²) indoors and 500–800 g (18–28 oz) per plant outdoors; the outdoor figure comes from the plants he grew outside at F2 and F3, not from the F4 itself. Leaf shape varies from plant to plant, so if you want an even canopy, start a few extra seeds and pick the plants you like; our guide to phenotype hunting walks through it. The Queen’s line is listed with a 2x stretch in flower, so leave headroom for the stretch after the flip. Judge when to harvest by the trichomes, not the leaves.
