Skywalker is an indica-dominant feminized hybrid, rated about 60% indica and 40% sativa, bred from Mazar and Blueberry and known for an earthy, sweet profile with a berry edge. Dutch Passion, the Amsterdam seed company, first bred it and has since discontinued its own version. Leafly’s strain data puts Skywalker at about 20% THC. Leafly rates it an easy grow, and it flowers in roughly 8 to 9 weeks.
History & lineage
Dutch Passion made Skywalker by crossing a Mazar female with a Blueberry male. Mazar is Dutch Passion’s cross of an original Afghan indica with a phenotype of its Skunk #1, and DJ Short’s Blueberry reached the Dutch market in 1998. Dutch Passion says its Skywalker kept Blueberry’s taste and aroma alongside Mazar’s vigour and yield, while Blueberry’s curling leaves, slow early growth and bluish hues were lost in the cross.
Leafly also lists it as Sky and as Mazar x Blueberry, and notes that, whatever the name suggests, it has no official connection to Star Wars. Blueberry, one of its parents, won the 2000 High Times Cannabis Cup as the Noon coffeeshop’s entry, and Dutch Passion’s Blueberry took that year’s Indica Cup. Skywalker Kush is a different strain that brings in OG Kush; this is the Mazar × Blueberry cross.
Aroma & flavour
Dutch Passion describes the aroma as fruity and fresh, carried over from Blueberry. Expect berry, pine and spice in the taste. For Skywalker as a strain, Leafly users most often report earthy, sweet and pungent flavours, with berry and blueberry next. Growing Skywalker
Skywalker is a feminized photoperiod plant: it keeps growing leaves until the light drops to 12 hours a day indoors, or until the days shorten in late summer outdoors. Leafly calls it a relatively easy strain to cultivate and says it prefers a warm, dry climate similar to the Mediterranean. Indoor yields run around 400–450 g/m² (about 1.3–1.5 oz/ft²); Dutch Passion’s figure of about 400 g/m² (1.3 oz/ft²) came from clones grown in a sea of green under optimum conditions. Outdoors, expect around 600–700 g (about 21–25 oz) per plant. One seed company’s version of the same cross reaches about 80–130 cm (2.6–4.3 ft) indoors. Leafly’s grow notes suggest regular pruning to keep air moving through the plant and a trellis to help the branches carry their dense buds. Near the end, judge when to harvest by the trichomes rather than the calendar.

Heavy, Relaxing, and Reliable
Skywalker fem grew tall and frosty with thick, sticky colas. Aroma was earthy with a touch of pine and spice. The high is deeply relaxing, full-body, and long-lasting—perfect for evenings or knocking out stress. Definitely a solid indica for the stash.
Jedi-Level Relaxation
Skywalker lived up to the hype. Grew tall and bushy with big, frosty buds that looked like they were dusted with powdered sugar. The smell was loud—woody, herbal, and a little sweet. Smoke is smooth and heavy. Within 15 minutes I felt the stress melt right off. Definitely not for morning use unless you’ve got nothing planned. Great before bed or on lazy days.
