Alien Technology is a pure indica landrace from the Mazar-i-Sharif region of Afghanistan. Known for exceptional trichome production and deeply relaxing effects, this strain is valued both as a standalone cultivar and as a parent in many modern hybrids including Alien Dawg and Alien Kush. It also serves as one of the parents in Mac’s Neptune’s Wedding cross.

Genetics & Lineage

Alien Technology is a 100% indica landrace from Afghanistan. It was reportedly brought to the United States by a US soldier and preserved by the breeder OBSoul33t. As a pure landrace, it represents generations of natural selection in the harsh Afghan climate — producing plants that are compact, resinous, and exceptionally hardy.

Appearance

Plants are compact and bushy, typically staying between 30–120 cm — ideal for small indoor spaces. Buds are dense and absolutely coated in trichomes, reflecting the strain’s Afghan hash-making heritage. Colors are deep green with minimal coloration variation. The overall structure is stocky and sturdy.

Aroma & Flavor

The nose is spicy and earthy with cedar wood, pencil shavings, and a hashy diesel undertone. On the inhale, expect an unusual combination of tropical fruit and apple with a spicy kick. The exhale carries sweet hash and earthy depth. The flavor profile is unique and complex for a pure indica. Dominant terpenes include myrcene, caryophyllene, and pinene.

Effects

With THC around 14–19%, Alien Technology is moderate in potency but delivers deep, long-lasting relaxation that can persist for up to 6 hours. Interestingly, it’s more stimulating than typical indicas — calming without being overwhelmingly sedating. Good for evening use, stress relief, and unwinding without immediately falling asleep.

Growing Information

Alien Technology flowers in 8–10 weeks indoors with yields of 350–450 g/m². Outdoors, expect 450–500 g per plant. The compact size makes it ideal for tent grows and small spaces. Moderate difficulty. The landrace genetics make it naturally resistant to pests and mold. Tolerates cold well and adapts to a range of climates from temperate to continental. Excellent for hash production due to the heavy trichome coverage.
