Do-Si-Dos is an indica-dominant autoflower that packs a serious punch behind its cookie-sweet name. Originally created by Archive Seed Bank as a photoperiod strain, this autoflower version was developed by Barney’s Farm using their proprietary BF Super Auto #1 breeding line. The result is a compact, fast-finishing plant that retains the heavy resin production and potent effects that made the original Do-Si-Dos a Leafly Strain of the Year. For growers who want cookie-lineage genetics without the complexity of managing photoperiod light schedules, this autoflower version delivers the full experience in a fraction of the time.

Genetics & Lineage

Do-Si-Dos autoflower descends from the cross of OGKB (OG Kush Breath, a Girl Scout Cookies phenotype) and Face Off OG BX1, combined with Barney’s Farm BF Super Auto #1 to introduce autoflowering traits. The OGKB parent brings the cookie dough sweetness and dense bud structure from the GSC family, while Face Off OG BX1 contributes the heavy OG Kush potency and earthy fuel undertones. The ruderalis genetics from BF Super Auto #1 allow the plant to flower automatically without light schedule changes, while preserving the 65 percent indica and 35 percent sativa balance of the original.

Appearance

Plants stay compact at 80 to 110 centimeters indoors, stretching to 100 to 140 centimeters outdoors. Despite the modest height, these plants produce dense, pinecone-shaped buds with tight internodal spacing. The base color is olive green with deep purple and lavender hues developing through the bud structure, especially in cooler conditions. Vibrant amber and burnt orange pistils weave through the flowers, and a heavy coating of yellow-to-white trichomes covers every surface, giving the finished buds a frosty, resinous appearance.

Aroma & Flavor

Do-Si-Dos autoflower opens with a sweet citrus aroma dominated by lime and lemon, layered with a meringue pie sweetness and cool minty undertones. A peppery earthiness from the dominant beta-caryophyllene terpene anchors the lighter notes. The flavor follows through with a lemon meringue pie sweetness on the inhale, transitioning to toasty, warming notes with lingering lime and a spicy peppery finish on the exhale. The taste is rich and layered, reflecting the complex cookie and OG lineage.

Effects

The high starts with an uplifting head buzz that sharpens the mood and brings on a wave of euphoria. As the indica genetics take hold, the cerebral lift transitions into a heavy full-body stone that melts away tension and settles deep into the muscles. At higher doses, expect couch-lock and strong appetite stimulation. THC levels typically range from 20 to 23 percent, making this a potent strain that hits hard and lasts long. Best suited for evening use or days when you have nowhere to be.

Growing Information

Do-Si-Dos autoflower seeds complete their full cycle in 70 to 75 days from seed, making them one of the faster autoflower options for growers who want quick results without sacrificing quality. Indoor yields are impressive for an autoflower, reaching 550 to 650 grams per square meter under optimized conditions. Outdoor plants produce 280 to 350 grams per plant. The grow difficulty is easy to moderate, with the ruderalis genetics providing resilience against temperature swings, pests, and minor feeding errors. The strain thrives in Mediterranean and temperate climates but adapts well to a range of environments. A consistent 18/6 or 20/4 light cycle from seed to harvest produces the best indoor results, and LST helps maximize bud sites on the compact frame. The strain is also well-suited for balcony and patio growing, where the compact size and automatic flowering cycle make it a convenient choice for growers with limited space. No light schedule changes are needed from seed to harvest.

Sweet and Sneaky

25 January 2026

Do-Si-Dos Auto came out short and chunky, super frosty and sweet-smelling. The high sneaks up fast—starts in the head with a happy buzz, then melts into a cozy, relaxed body feel. Perfect for evenings or just chilling without overthinking. Easy grow and a solid auto for any setup.

Small Plant, Heavy Hit

29 June 2025

Do-Si-Dos Auto came through strong for a compact little beast. Stayed low and tight, which was perfect for a stealth grow, but still pushed out chunky, frosty buds that smelled like sweet dough and earth. The smoke is smooth and tasty—think dessert with a kick. The high is heavy and calming, with a full-body melt that had me locked into the couch and loving it. Great for late nights or just turning the brain off. This one punches way above its size.
