Gelato Autoflower is the autoflowering version of the famous Gelato strain, a dessert-strain hybrid known for its creamy vanilla flavor and balanced effects. This auto version delivers the same flavor-forward experience in a compact, fast-finishing plant that flowers automatically regardless of light schedule. The original Gelato strain was developed by Cookie Fam Genetics, the California breeding collective led by Sherbinski and Berner, who created it from Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies.

Genetics & Lineage

Gelato descends from a cross of Sunset Sherbet x Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies, two of the most flavorful strains in modern cannabis. The autoflower version adds ruderalis genetics for automatic flowering. Sunset Sherbet contributes the creamy, fruity sweetness, while Thin Mint GSC brings cookie-dough earthiness and potency. The result is a dessert-forward terpene profile with a slightly indica-leaning effect.

Appearance

Plants are compact and bushy, typically reaching 70–100 cm. Buds are dense and heavily coated in trichomes, with deep green to purple coloration and bright orange pistils. The resin production is impressive for an autoflower, giving buds a frosty, almost sugared appearance.

Aroma & Flavor

The nose opens with sweet cream and vanilla, layered with citrus zest and earthy kush undertones. On the inhale, expect creamy vanilla and sweet berries. The exhale carries citrus and a subtle diesel note. Dominant terpenes include caryophyllene, limonene, and linalool.
